Welcome to Kōwhai!

Kia ora and welcome to our class site! Here, you'll find everything you need to stay informed and engaged in our learning journey. From weekly notices and important updates to helpful resources and activities.

Our focus is on building a strong foundation in maths and literacy while developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and independence. I encourage students to take risks and live our school values of whanaungatanga (belonging), rangatiratanga (leadership) and hiranga ki mua (excellence).

Key dates to keep in mind for Term 1:
📅 Fortnightly Drop-In Sessions – every second Tuesday from 3:15–4:15 pm. Feel free to stop by if you have any questions or just want to check in.

👟 Kōwhai P.E. – Every Wednesday. Please ensure students bring a water bottle to stay sun-safe and hydrated.

While I don’t set compulsory homework, I encourage students to read for at least 30 minutes each day. For those who would like extra practice, I have homework sheets available covering a range of subjects. Students can collect these in class as needed.
