Do you have a specific research interest? What are some of your career/education goals?
I have been in the lab for two years and I will be continuing my education at Wesleyan next year in the MA/BA program with a focus on social psychology, building on the research experience I have gained in the SWB Lab. Post-grad I plan to continue working in a social psychology lab.
Last fall I had the opportunity to present findings on data we coded in the lab about views of consensual non-monogamy (CNM) relationships. My independent research on an original hypothesis was accepted into poster session at the New England Psychology Association (NEPA) Conference. The title of my poster was: “Seems Like Fun”: Understanding Sexual Minority Participants Views on Consensual Non-Monogamy Relationships in a College Age Sample”

My research interests are primarily rooted in social psychology, with a particular focus on areas like sexual well-being, social decision-making, and influence. I'm excited to continue expanding my experience and getting involved in more hands-on research opportunities in the future.
After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a career in social media and marketing, where I can combine my interests in psychology, communication, and digital strategy. I also hope to earn an MBA to strengthen my business acumen and open up more leadership opportunities in the future.
Do you have previous research experience? (If that lab has a website, feel free to provide the url and I will link it here.)
Yes, during the summer of my junior year in high school, I was a research intern at the UCI Ethics Center. I contributed to a research paper examining how the new generation is shaping the future of human rights. This experience introduced me to academic research and deepened my interest in the intersection of ethics, social change, and public discourse.
