Mustang Communication Card

One of our top priorities is to make sure we are communicating with you.

Mustang Communication Card Consists of 3 Different Sections

Mustang Pride Card

The Mustang Pride Card is part of our incentive program.

Students earn signatures on card for any number of reasons:

Rewards on the card consist of:

Students cannot earn signatures if card not out on desk at  beginning of class.

Cards without names will not be signed.

Cards with name removed will not be signed.  The card will be discarded and a new card will be given.

If lost, students will be given a new one, but must start over on signatures.  If found, signatures will NOT be transferred.

Students who forge signatures, will have Pride Card taken away, and must start over on new Pride Card.

Mustang Manager Card

The Mustang Manager Card tracks and discourages negative behavior choices.

Students who make poor behavior choices are given 3 official warnings, then are assigned a lunch detention.

NOTE:  Some infractions, depending upon severity, may warrant an automatic lunch detention.

Students required to keep Mustang Communication Card with them at all times.

If no card upon request, a  lunch detention will be assigned in addition to original lunch detention.

Parents should ask to see the Mustang Manager Card daily.

Students have 3 school days to have their Mustang Manager card signed.  If card is not signed, an additional lunch detention is added.

Lunch Detention

Each week a different teacher hosts lunch detention.  Students should report straight to the cafeteria, go to the beginning of the line, and then report straight to the hosting lunch detention teacher.  Students are to remain silent during lunch detention.  The hosting lunch detention teacher will mark on the Mustang Manager Card if the student served.   If the student is late, a no-show, or disruptive,  an additional lunch detention is assigned.

Attendance & Restroom Log

Attendance, tardies, and when students are checked out early are logged on card.

Absences and tardies can quickly add up.

Per district policy = students who miss 10% of the school year (18 days), whether excused or unexcused, are considered chronically absent.

Instruction missed is instruction lost.

No day is a "good" or an "easy" day to check students out early.
