Being a Sahuaro student ROCKS!
We use the above expectations matrix to define what it looks like and sounds like to meet our 5 schoolwide expectations in different areas of the school. Our matrix was designed to be a guide for students to grow in their academics and behavior, as well as develop their social/emotional strengths. At Sahuaro, we believe in teaching the whole child and helping them become outstanding members of their school, home, and community.
An important part of PBIS is the explicit teaching of expectations and procedures. Throughout the year, teachers revisit expectations and complete activities with their students to help deepen their understanding and try to prevent negative behaviors from happening in the future.
