Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to 5th Grade at Sahuaro Elementary School.
My name is Michelle Mobley, and I feel truly honored to be your child’s 5th grade math teacher. A little about me: I’m a proud mom of two wonderful kids and an Air Force veteran. This year marks the beginning of my teaching journey, and I couldn't be more thrilled to start that journey right here at Sahuaro with such an amazing group of students. Teaching has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I’m so grateful to now be living it.
My favorite subject is Math and, in our class, it’s about so much more than just numbers. We’ll build confidence, tackle challenges, and grow our thinking every single day. In my classroom, we’ll work hard, support one another, and never give up! We also celebrate diversity, teamwork, and kindness. Every student brings something unique and valuable to our learning community. We’ll learn from each other through group work, discussions, and hands-on activities that make math meaningful and fun.
I understand that everyone learns in their own way and at their own pace. I’m committed to helping each student feel seen, supported, and successful. I also believe that learning is strongest when we work together—so I look forward to partnering with you throughout the year.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or celebrations. I’m here to help. Thank you for joining me on this exciting journey. I can’t wait to meet you all and kick off a year full of learning, laughter, and Math!
I hope to see you at Meet the Teacher Night!
