About Mrs. Fortner

Mrs. Fortner has been teaching at Mountain Sky since 2016, where she also attended middle school herself. Mrs. Fortner has a bachelor's degree in secondary education and a master's degree in gifted education, both from Grand Canyon University. She enjoys reading, camping, sewing, and musicals. Mrs. Fortner began teaching seventh grade ELA and made the transition to advanced ELA in 2019. Outside of academics, Mrs. Fortner also runs the school's theater program and annual musical production.
