Classroom Behavior

Students have the opportunity to be recognized for their good choices. Students will receive things such as praise, stamps, stickers, and Bulldog Barkers for their good choices at school. The class will work together to earn special classroom activities. At lunch time and specials the class can earn gold coins together that can be traded in for an extra recess!

If a student chooses not to follow the behavior expectations at Ocotillo then the following steps will be followed:

1st- Warning

2nd-Think Time in Classroom (Student-teacher conference.. Call home)

3rd- Think Time in another Classroom (Parent Contact with Principal/Administrator and teacher)

4th- Office Referral (Letter Sent home to Parent)

Attendance

• Being in class is important to your learning! Please be on time and ready to learn. 

• If your child is sick and needs to stay home, absences need to be reported to the office staff. Please call (602) 347-2400.

Grading

A student's grade has three components:

1. Classwork- assignment done with the teacher in class.

2. Assessments- assignments done independently in class.

3. Homework-: assignments done at home.

The grading scale following is:

A- 90-100%

B- 80-89%

C- 70-79%

D- 60-69%

F- below 60%
