Welcome parents and kiddos. I'm Deanna Gorsegner and I will be your 2nd grade teacher. This is my eighth year at Sweetwater and I love it. I taught 3rd and 4th grade special needs classes, and dabbled in administration as Sweetwater's Special Services Specialist part of last year. The opportunity was wonderful, but I missed the kiddos and teaching too much. I am looking forward to a fantastic year.
I have a dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Education, with a Master's degree in Autism. I am married and have two dogs. I have a nephew with Autism which is what sparked my interest in getting a Master's in Autism. He's the coolest and has inadvertently taught me an abundance that helps with the profession. I love what I do. This will be a fantastic year.
