Ceiling Art Progress

Students worked together in groups to create a themed piece of ceiling art the was reflective of the group.  Here is a in-progress photo of 1st & 2nd Hour's ceiling art.

1st Hour 

Learned about local artist (he grew up in Phoenix) Jackson Pollock and recreated his iconic classic style (controlled drip) using a variety of paint colors with different viscosity.

All students created Monochromatic Still Lives with tempera paint.  Students choose one color and made tints, shades and tones of that one color.

All Students created Rubik's cubes to practice painting with tints, tones and shades.

1st & 2nd Hour 8th grade students created their name using familiar typography  advertisements.
