The Jazz Ensemble meets twice a week after school for rehearsal and a class dedicated to learning the theory behind jazz improvisation.
The Jazz Ensemble performs up to 6 times per year, representing South High School at band concerts, community events, and jazz festivals in Lake and Cuyahoga Counties.
Mr. Tyrrell is the Jazz Ensemble Director and Mr. Woodie is the Improvisation Instructor.
If you are interested in joining Jazz Ensemble, please contact Mr. Tyrrell (Joel.tyrrell@weschools.org). The Jazz Ensemble "Season" starts in early November and runs through the end of the academic year.
