I have 18 years of experience in education, working as a high school English teacher, school librarian, and now as an English Language Learner (ELL) specialist. My career has focused on fostering student success, building strong school–family connections, and ensuring compliance with state and federal ELL requirements. Â
I live in Elgin, North Dakota, where I enjoy the close-knit community and open spaces of rural life. Outside of work, I run a small horse-drawn carriage business in Medora, offering wagon rides that share the charm and history of the area with visitors. I’m also active in the Back Country Horsemen of North Dakota, working to preserve trails and promote responsible horsemanship. When I’m not working or volunteering, you can often find me horseback riding, gardening, fishing, or traveling. I also have a therapy-certified dog who visits schools with me, bringing smiles and comfort to students. Fun Fact: I once planted a crop of sweet corn using my team of horses—combining my agricultural background with my enjoyment of working alongside animals. Â
