Ms. Martin has been practicing law since 1994 and has practiced on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1997. She is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts. Her primary practice areas include family law, divorce, adoptions, child custody issues, criminal defense, DUI and traffic offenses, wills & estates.
Ms. Martin graduated from Pascagoula High School, Mississippi State University, Mississippi College School of Law, and the University of Mississippi Judicial College. She has served as an Assistant District Attorney for Jackson, George, and Greene Counties, a public defender for Harrison County, a special prosecutor for Jackson County, a municipal judge for the City of D'Iberville, and a Special Master for Jackson County Chancery Court. She was appointed to a judicial clerkship for the Mississippi Supreme Court and the Mississippi Court of Appeals and worked for the Attorney General’s Office in the death Penalty Division.
Ms. Martin is certified to represent minors as a Guardian ad Litem in all chancery cases and is a licensed foster parent. A native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Ms. Martin was formerly licensed in the states of Florida, Georgia, and New York. She worked briefly in the state of New York for the firm of Gellert and Cutler before returning home to the Gulf Coast to resume practice. She has been active with youth sports for a number of years, serving her community as a volunteer coach for soccer, little league, and cheerleading.
