As a school counselor, I am focused on providing short-term, solution-focused counseling to remove barriers to students' learning. Sometimes children have issues that require more intensive or long-term support. Here are some agencies in our community that offer support.

Wenatchee School District has partnered with Daybreak Health to provide free 1:1 virtual therapy. In partnership with school counselors and social workers, Daybreak Health matches students with a licensed therapist for 12-weeks of virtual therapy. Participating students will meet with their own therapist over Zoom each week for 50 minutes. During that time, the therapist will help them understand their emotions and learn new skills to manage things like anxiety, depression, stress, organization, and more. All students will walk away with strategies that they can use in class, at home, and throughout life. All students ages 10+ are eligible for teletherapy services. You can learn more about Daybreak here or watch this short video. If you are interested in referring your child to Daybreak, please reach out to your school counselor or administrator or complete this interest form and they will reach out to you to discuss further (Spanish version).
