Welcome to Robin Class
We are so excited for the amazing year we are going to have together. This is a place where we’ll be learning, laughing, and making great memories. In Robin Class, we believe in a few key things that will make this year fantastic:
Having fun: Learning should be an adventure! We will be doing lots of activities and projects that are engaging and exciting. When we have fun, we remember what we learn, and it makes coming to school even better.
Trying hard: It's not about being perfect; it's about giving your best effort. We encourage everyone to try new things and push themselves. When you try hard, you show great resilience, and that’s a skill that will help you for life.
Giving it a go: Don’t be afraid to take a risk! We want to create an environment where everyone feels safe to "give it a go," even if they're not sure how it will turn out. It's how we learn and grow.
Supporting each other: We are a team. We will cheer each other on, celebrate our successes, and help each other when things are tough. By working together, we can achieve more than we ever could alone.
This is going to be a year full of laughs and learning. We want to provide lots of chances for each of you to shine, and we are also looking forward to working with you, our families, to bring our community even closer.
We can't wait to share this incredible journey with you all. Let's make this the best year ever!

25th September
This week we have been continuing to recognise numbers written as words. We found different numbers of objects to match the words written on the playground.
We have also enjoyed a fun trip to Midsomer Norton Library, where we listened carefully to some stories and chose books to bring back to school. Well done Robins, we are very proud of how attentive and respectful you were at the library!
11th September
Robins have had a brilliant first week in Year 1! We have enjoyed exploring our new continuous provision, learning how to use the different areas independently and creatively. In maths, we have been developing our understanding of numbers within 10, while in geography we have been learning about the countries of the UK. In science, we have begun investigating everyday materials, naming different materials and exploring what objects are made from. We have also loved sharing Whatever Next! by Jill Murphy and using the story to inspire our talk and writing.
