Paste in the description on the back cover of your book. Though you may already have your book description written, here’s some general tips and questions you can ask yourself if you’d like to make any adjustments for your website.
Aim for 150-200 words. Be clear and concise; don’t confuse people with complicated names or geographical locations unless it’s necessary. Set the scene in a simple phrase.
What does your protagonist want? What’s in their way? What happens if they fail in their mission? Are there any elements of suspense or mysteries to solve? What fears, emotions or obstacles must the protagonist overcome? What is the protagonist like as the book opens? Timid? Fearless? A skilled fighter? A tech genius?
Write the book's main themes, tropes, or character types in the boxes below. For example, you could choose, "aliens," "post-apocalyptic," and "dystopia." Or perhaps "ancient prophecies," "chosen one," and "search for identity." Either way, it's a chance to tell your readers what to expect, and it helps your site show up when people search for those themes in search engines.
