This is a statutory training exercise for All Wellspring Academy Staff members

Step 3. Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessment and Training - DSE Users only

This is a statutory training exercise for DSE users only and applies to Office Staff, Senior Leaders and staff members who work with display screen equipment (e.g. computers) for longer periods of time within their usual working day. This generally does not apply to Class Teachers and Class Support Staff members. Please check with your Line Manager if you are unsure

Additional H&S Training Needs

Although the following courses can be accessed by all staff members, the courses and slides may be more relevant to specific roles, and need to be accessed, read and understood by you if this applies to you in your role.

The course links to the below can also be accessed at a later point and as and when needed via the Wellspring Digital Health and Safety Pages

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Awareness Training and Guidance

Needs to be accessed by staff who may handle Hazardous Substances as part of their role, e.g. Staff involved in Science, Art, D.T., Office Staff, Cleaning Staff, Catering Staff and Staff working with food etc

Risk Assessment Training and Guidance

Needs to be accessed by staff who may be required to undertake and / or review risk assessments as part of their role, e.g. Senior and Middle Leaders, Subject Leads, Events leads, Educational Visits and Trip Leads etc

All staff members are welcome to access the above training and this is open to all to access and refer to on the Wellspring digital H&S page

Alongside the H&S training accessed within this induction programme, additional site specific H&S training may need to be undertaken and the details of this will be shared with you and arrangements made for you via an Academy Leader
