Baby Tennis

My tennis friends and I have a program called "baby tennis." We teach kids how to play tennis every Monday and Wednesday after school. We did it for almost the whole school year, and the lesson was just 1 hour. Our objectives are to teach the basic skills of tennis to the kids that never hold a tennis racket before and ensure that they enjoy it. Because we only have 1 hour, we made a teaching plan every time before the lesson started, so that the kids would know what they learned. For examples, today we will only focus on forehand and serve so we won't touch their backhand. Otherwise, the kids will get confused. In this activity the kids are not only the one who learn, but also we had a chance to know how being a coach feels like. We have to be a great speaker, good example and understand the kids. Now, I know that being a teacher or a coach is not easy. We have to be exciting enough for the kids to listen to you. We learned that we could not just teach all the kids the same things or using the same book since each kids have different skills. Leadership is

Our students in 2018

This boy, Cameron, always be at the tennis court right after school so sometimes he would be practicing alone. He is very responsible and I could see a huge improvement. Eventually, his parents don't have time to pick him up so, he left.

This is the photo of my students, insee, and I in 2019 which is my last year. I really enjoy teaching these kids. They are good students. Even though Leo, the boy next to me, annoyed me sometimes but he is a very fast learner. Pruek, the yellow shirt boy, he is very adorable and the youngest of our group. He never gives up and very active kid. C9, the boy in the middle, is one of the best listener in this group. He is very discipline. I probably going to miss this group. Thanks everyone for making my senior year a very warm year.

Investigation:

Firstly, We consider the target group which are mostly primary students. Once we know the target group, we know the appopriate way to teach them so they get optimal knowledge. The intensity that we put to the kids are depends on their behaviour on that they. Surely, there are the kids who don't follow instruction. In that cas, we will have to give some punishments that can shift them to the right direction.

Preparation:

Before we started this project, we first gathered all the tennis players that are in high school and we select the individuals that would be able to work as a coach. The tennis net will be set up during lunch by one of our coaches. Before the the baby tennis class starts, we will have a coaches meeting to set the programs and drill that we are going to teach on that class. By doing that, the session will be smooth without time wasted on thinking next drills.

Action:

We teach kids how to play tennis every Monday and Wednesday after school. We did it for almost the whole school year, and the lesson was just 1 hour. Reflection:

I am really thankful that I am part of this activity. The kids always put a hundred percent effort which makes the coach like me organise easily.

Demonstration:

In this activity the kids are not only the one who learn, but also we had a chance to know how being a coach feels like. We have to be a great speaker, good example and understand the kids. Now, I know that being a teacher or a coach is not easy. We have to be exciting enough for the kids to listen to you. Learning outcome:

1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
