Volunteer

On 31st August 2018 at Dusit, Bangkok my friends and I went to register as a volunteer or "Jit asa" Basically, Jit asa is a program that once we registered, we will be able to freely help the community anywhere and anytime. For instance, we can help organizing some small traffic or help planting free. On that day, there were so many people on the line waiting for the registration and we spent there for almost the whole day. They had a ceremony for people who were willing to contribute this volunteer program.

This was the yellow scarf and a blue cap they gave. It is a sign of "goodness."

This is an example of the older group that they went to help planting trees.

Q: How did you feel after doing this volunteer program?

A: I was so happy, and it's the different happy from what I felt before. It's the long term happiness as I am a part of Jit asa program with many warm-hearted people. However, I still believe that everyone can be helpful despite not in a part of Jit asa program. It's in everyone heart.

Learning Outcomes:

6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance.

7: Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions
