NTU Science Program

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
  2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
  3. Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Reflection:

The NTU science program was a selective program hosted by National Taiwan University (NTU). The program was a 2 week course on engineering topics such as Mechanical Engineering (Solar Energy), Civil Engineering (bridge building), as well as Oceans Engineering. Focusing on hands on learning we built creations such as solar cars and wooden bridges to compete in competitions such as load handling and speed. This program has helped me confirm my interest on mechanical and electrical engineering. Activities such as bridge building also encourages teamwork making us work in a large group to finish the task in a certain period of time. This program has given me an insight on what I might do in the future and has given me experience and skill which I could use in my future.
