Ellie is thrilled to make her directing debut with The Wellington Footlights Society's production of If/Then.
Ellie has been involved with Wellington Footlights since co-founding the Society in 2014. She has directed parts of revues and performed in many Footlights productions. She most recently played Florence in Chess at Te Auaha. Other roles include Rona in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Lady of the Lake in Monty Python's Spamalot, Martha Dunnstock in Heathers: The Musical and Serena in Legally Blonde: The Musical.
By day, Ellie works in the little-known world of collectable stamps and coins, and as a freelance publicist. In her spare time she bakes sourdough and makes travel plans.
Ellie has also performed with Summer Shakespeare Wellington, Energy Theatre, Red Scare Theatre Company, The Bacchanals and Kapitall Kids Theatre.

She has been a member of “The Dazzling Fillettes”, a lip-syncing dance trio supporting the iconic drag performer, Pollyfilla, since 2004. Patrick wears many hats for this production of If/Then, acting as production manager, sound designer and band member.
His Wellington Footlights highlights include Chess (sound engineering and mixing), the Heart+Music festival (stage management), Heathers: The Musical (sound design and lighting co-design), and Spamalot (band member).

Anna is a Wellington and Wairarapa based pianist and has had an amazing time working as Assistant Musical Director and rehearsal pianist for If/Then. It is her second show with Wellington Footlights this year; she was previously rehearsal pianist for Chess in July.
Anna specialises as a ballet pianist and is a casual pianist at the New Zealand School of Dance. She will miss the performances of If/Then to travel to Milan to participate in a practical training course for ballet pianists at the Accademia alla Scala. Alongside her dance accompaniment work, Anna teaches at Chilton Saint James School, Encore! School of Music, and Geraldine Inder School of Dance.
Besides If/Then and Chess, Anna’s previous musical theatre work includes Spring Awakening (WITCH, 2018), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Chilton, 2018), and Footrot Flats (MATS, 2017). She has also just finished musical directing a revue, Just Us, in Masterton (MATS).
Abi is ancient by Footlights standards, and possibly has some control issues, having been involved in every Footlights production either onstage or backstage since the inaugural Taking the Minnie (2014). Despite her unfortunately timed escape to Europe 3 weeks before opening night, Abi couldn’t help but get her grubby paws all over If/Then, moonlighting as assistant director, publicity manager, and general busybody.
Abi has no life outside of Footlights, but dreams of one day becoming mother to a minimum of 5 cats.
Erana has been an avid fan of theatre from a young age, and started performing onstage from the age of 9. Thankfully her onstage days are behind her, and she has taken on a variety of backstage roles since then. Her most recent credits were working as a Production Assistant with Musical Theatre Dunedin on Hairspray and Phantom of the Opera before moving to London for two years.
When she's not getting involved in theatre Erana enjoys lying in bed, traveling, and telling people she saw Hamilton on West End during its second week.
Brendan is a multi award winner. He has won awards for Best Costume, dress-ups (Drag), and undressing (Burlesque). He has also won for the fastest strip, and another for the ‘Best Man-Junk’. So he is an expert in the art of dressing up and undressing. He is the go-to-person for getting clothes on, and getting them off. He is, in brief, the self titled Costume Misdress.
Laura is new to the Footlights whānau, having recently moved back home from living in Canada. Christchurch girl born and bred, she started her lighting career with high school productions and never looked back. With big dreams of one day doing lighting for Bruno Mars, she’s glad to be back in the lighting box helping the talented cast of If/Then shine bright.
When not fiddling with knobs and dials on a lighting board, Laura will be out on some adventure, paddling on the water, discovering things in her new home of Wellington, or trying out all the cafes she possibly can.
Margaret joined Footlights in 2014 for Pippin, and has appeared in or been behind the scenes for all but one of the Footlights shows since then. With a background in dance and musical theatre, Margaret has been performing in Wellington for many years. She has previously worked with WMT, Stagecraft, Wellington Rep, KAT, New Players, and PLT.
When not rehearsing or performing, Margaret can be found staring down a microscope at work, hanging upside down in a dance studio (pole and/or anti-gravity), baking, or trying to make sense of her 2 boys' conversations about Minecraft, Fortnite, and the esoteric minutiae of the Marvel superhero universe. As always, love and thanks to her patient and long-suffering husband, Ward.
