Treble Tones is an advanced, small vocal ensemble of treble voices. Students will study and sing a wide variety of choral repertoire from traditional and contemporary styles. Enrollment is limited to students in grades 10-12 and is by audition only. Singers in this course will study advanced choral techniques, music literacy, and aural skills. This ensemble will perform in regularly scheduled concerts and additional performances on and off campus. This is an honors level course that will count in the computation of a student's grade point average.
The Intensive Student will function as a student leader of the ensemble and of the Choral Department as a whole. The student will assist the Choral Director as needed. In addition to the course requirements of #920A, Intensive Students must complete the following requirements: (1) perform with Overtones or Subharmonics in addition to the Treble Tones; (2) engage in a leadership seminar to discuss elements of leadership and application to the performing arts department; (3) propose and complete an approved project per semester.
