Treble Tones is an advanced, small vocal ensemble of treble voices. Students will study and sing a wide variety of choral repertoire from traditional and contemporary styles. Enrollment is limited to students in grades 10-12 and is by audition only. Singers in this course will study advanced choral techniques, music literacy, and aural skills. This ensemble will perform in regularly scheduled concerts and additional performances on and off campus. This is an honors level course that will count in the computation of a student's grade point average.
In choral programs across the country, the quantity of treble voices (soprano and alto) significantly outnumber the quantity of lower voices (tenor and bass.). The creation of this course will level the number of students in each auditioned class to 20-25 voices allowing greater attention to detail and vocal instruction for the students.
