The purpose of Math Workshop is to support students’ academic success in Algebra I and Geometry through a deep understanding of core instruction by strengthening skills and previewing upcoming concepts. The course will focus on reinforcing learning in Algebra I and Geometry and utilize the instructional materials and assignments from students' current Foundations, Algebra 1 or Geometry classes.
This course is designed to support students in mastering the Algebra 1 and Geometry or Algebra 1, Foundations 9 and Foundations 10 standards in order to meet the State’s CD (Competency Determination) requirement. Students will work individually or in small groups with a math teacher and student assistants. Credit in this course will be awarded on a pass or no credit basis.
