Students often come to their adults in a panic saying their digital work has been lost. You can help them check these three spots:
Untitled files in their Drive (search for keywords your child remembers using)
Trash folder in Drive
Version history within the Document itself (only visible on desk/laptops, not on iPad)
This year you have the opportunity to receive emails summarizing your child's Google Classroom activity in our classes. This lets you see the assignments teachers post and what is missing.*
Here is a link to more information about Parent/Guardian Email Summaries from Google. You can receive the updates daily or weekly.
(*Note: Sometimes, this can be misleading, because we might have an in-class activity that looks "missing" when it is not, in fact, a formal graded assignment - or we may still be working on it - so it may not really be missing.
You also cannot see what your child has written - you will have to ask them to see the work itself!)
