Round 1 Book Talk Sign-Up - Go to Reading Google Classroom for all the information and the document to write your booktalk.
Independent Reading - at least 30 minutes each day. Be sure to stop at a good stopping point (like the end of a chapter) instead of stopping at exactly 30 minutes.
Record in your Independent Reading Log (minimum at home: 4 x 30 minutes this week). Be sure to start a new page in your log each week!
Math Student Activity Book
Due Wednesday, September 30 - pages 32 (draw an array for each problem to match your strategies) and 34 (explain)
Due Friday, October 2 - pages 37 (draw arrays to match your strategies) and 40 (show your work)
•For review of concepts and strategies to help you with the homework, go to Math Words and Ideas. For extra practice of games we've been playing in class, go to Investigations Games.
Writing Journal Entry - due Thursday, Oct. 1
Choose a small moment, connected to something important about you (an activity you love, family, friends, etc.)
Put the date and a title at the top of the next double page spread.
Make a story mountain on the left-hand page.
Write your story on the right-hand page using strong description, inner thoughts, dialogue and action so the reader has a mental movie in their mind. Fill the page (or more)!
