Learning Ally is an educational reading application that provides audiobooks to qualified students. With this app, students can listen while simultaneously following along with the text. Students can add books using the website, but to read books they will need to download the app on a tablet or a computer. Parent instructions can be viewed using this document.

(Qualification through Special Educator - grades K - 8)

Lexia is an online literacy curriculum. Elementary students access the Core5 Reading Program. At the middle school level, PowerUP is for students struggling with reading. Currently, students are given Lexia accounts to support access to their individualized literacy learning through their special educators or MS reading teachers.

Epic! is a resource which provides students access to a variety of digital books and educational videos. There are many "read-to-me" books that provide pictures paired with audio. In addition, students can also access traditional audiobooks. Epic! is currently offering free accounts to families when their educator signs them up. Please refer to the email from your special educator to enable your account. At the MS, Epic! accounts are provided through reading teachers.

Bookshare is a resource which provides digital books and allows students to customize their reading experience with ebooks in formats that work for the individual. Books can be dowloaded in various formats (ePub, Word...). Students at WPS use the ePub format using the Books app on an iPad. (Help Sheets for downloading and reading books will be available soon)
