Our Youth Advisory Board is made up of former workshop attendees or co-facilitators. The YAB informs the development of our STEM & Digital Wellbeing Workshops that take place during the Summer. Our YAB members provide valuable feedback on developments regarding the week-long summer programs and collaborate with researchers and other peers while engaging in personal development opportunities, such as graphic design skills, networking, public speaking, and near-peer mentorship. The Youth Advisory Board includes middle school, high school, and college-aged youths. The YAB is funded by a Technology and Adolescent Mental Wellness grant through the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Past Projects from the YAB
Our 2025 Summer Digital Wellbeing workshops were focused on different domains of self-esteem, like academic, online persona, friendships and other relationships, appearance, and social identities. One of our YAB members designed and developed these writing prompts for the workshop attendees to help them reflect on presentations and activities.
