The midterm borrows from anthropologist Joe Dumit's Haraway-inspired "Implosion Project."
In broad terms, you will choose an object, fact or process, and unpack all the dense connections, histories, and associations that you know about it (and don’t know), and reflect on how it is in the world and how the world is in it. You will submit a written analysis of the Implosion Project assignment’s first two "twists."
Your text should be no longer than 1,000 words.
You're encouraged to embed photos, diagrams, maps, videos, and other media, and your captions for those media should include links to their sources.
