The Clinical Training Program at the Stone Center Counseling Service is focused on the training of interns & trainees to provide counseling services to Wellesley College students. The experience includes individual and group counseling, workshops, outreach and educational programming, as well as consultation with members of the college community. Every intern is expected to participate in at least two educational/outreach activities per semester, which may occur after hours or weekends. The Clinical Training Program is a nine/ten month training program consisting of 24 hours per week (3 - 4 days per week). The Counseling Service is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with Wednesday & Thursday being required days for training and supervision.
Components of the Training Program include individual clinical supervision, dual supervision (WJC), group supervision, several training seminars, clinical team meeting, a trainee lunch support group, and additional opportunities such as attendance at the Division of Student Life meetings.
Application Process for Academic Year 2025-2026:
Two - Three Doctoral-Level, Practicum Counseling or Clinical Psychology training program positions
Two - Three 2nd year Master of Social Work and/or Mental Health Counselor Clinical training positions, enrolled in accredited programs
