Naumai haeremai ki Te Whare Manaaki! Te Whare Manaaki is our "Cultural" place. All learners participate in various ways in Te Whare Manaaki, learning about Te Reo Māori, te ahurea Māori (Māori culture) and we also do lots of visual arts and usually in a collaborative way to display around the school. Naumai!!
Our Whakataukī
"Tiakina te mana hei ora i te mauri - Nurture our wellbeing by caring for ones mana."
This is the "kaupapa" of Te Whare Manaaki. It is the way we be towards others and the way we treat each other. It is having an understanding that we have an impact both positive and negative on "mauri" through our actions, which is something we value highly, "tu te mana, tu te mauri hei ora pai te mauri" Mauri Ora.
