Halloween is right around the corner! At Mountain View students can wear costumes to school as long as they are able to learn throughout the day. Masks can be worn during classroom parties only. Costumes and make-up need to be school appropriate; no blood, gore, or weapons. 

Hello Wonderful MV Families!  We would like to be able to recognize staff members throughout the school year with gift cards.  We will be using these gift cards as incentives or prizes for different activities throughout the year and we need you to partner with us to make it happen.  If you are able, please drop gift cards off at the front office .  Thank you for helping make this year great!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and Weld Re-4 has once again partnered with the Arc of Weld County to bring you the 10th Annual Bully Prevention Poster Contest!

To celebrate the 10th year of the contest, we are going "back to the basics" with all original artwork!  Please use any medium you want (except technology) to complete your 8.5" x 11" poster - markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint.... use your imagination!

The Grand Prize is a $100 gift card - so let's see what amazing artwork and artists we have here in Weld Re-4. 

All submissions are due to Jennifer Sedaghat at the District Office by Tuesday, October 31st.

Ms. S, the art teacher at MV would love some donations to her treasure box in the art room.  Some of the items that should would like would be candy, small prizes, art supplies, etc.  Anything that you would be able to drop off owuld be very appreciated!

Standard Response Protocol

Our district proactively works to prepare our school staff, students, and buildings for a variety of safety scenarios. We utilize the i love u guys Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol. This protocol provides common language and training to school districts across the country, and includes five specific safety actions: hold, secure, lockdown, evacuate, and shelter. We would encourage you to engage your children in conversations about our Standard Response Protocol language, discussing what your student can expect in each scenario and talking through any associated feelings. Community Partners

We value our close partnerships with Windsor Severance Fire Rescue and the police departments at the Town of Severance and Town of Windsor. We regularly work with our local first responders to ensure the readiness of our school personnel and law enforcement for preparation, response, and after action related to preparedness for a variety of safety and security situations. Through a partnership with the Windsor and Severance Police Departments, we have four School Resource Officers (SROs) at our school buildings. Learn More

King Soopers Community Rewards Program

Give back to our school just by shopping for groceries and gas! Mountain View Elementary has partnered with King Soopers Community Rewards Program to help raise money for our school. King Soopers has recently restructured their program and it is easier than ever to participate!

Don’t forget - your friends and family can join in on this program too!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

1. Register for a King Soopers Rewards Card and Create an Online Account

If you haven’t already, register for a King Soopers or City Market rewards card. Cards are available at the customer service desk at any King Soopers or City Market store. Once you have a rewards card, can create an online account with your name, some basic information, and a valid email address.

• For King Soopers Stores, create an online account here: http://www.kingsoopers.com

• For City Market Stores, create an online account here: http://www.citymarket.com

Once you have a registered King Soopers or City Market rewards card account, it’s easy to link your account to Mountain View Elementary.

2. Link your King Soopers Account to Mountain View Elementary

Log into your King Soopers or City Market account. Under “My Account” go to “Community Rewards”. Then, search for Mountain View Elementary by name or by our our school code “RV655”. Once you select Mountain View Elementary, click “Enroll”.

Remember, proceeds can’t be donated to Mountain View Elementary unless you link your rewards card to our school. Each time you swipe your rewards card, or use the phone number that is associated with your rewards card, our school earns money!
