Hauora
Pastoral Care Team
Hauora is a Māori term that encompasses the concept of health and well-being. It represents a holistic approach to health that considers spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. It focuses on achieving balance and harmony, with good health being not just the absence of illness but a state of being connected to culture, community and environment.
The Pastoral Care team includes Senior Leadership, Counselling Team, Dean Leads, Deans and our receptionist/ first aid. Our Pastoral Care team embraces and is guided by the school values:
Aroha: Being patient and kind, showing empathy and focusing on your mahi.
Whanaungatanga: Feeling a sense of belonging and kinship and being connected by a powerful common purpose.
Rangatiratanga: Leadership that unifies people in meaningful ways, and self-determination over your choices and actions.
