East Radio

Wellington East has five groups of students making shows with Access Radio this year. We've been working with them in the Ghuznee Street studio for three years now and have the goal of using the recording studio in the new building to make even more shows onsite in 2019.

Our shows are by youth and about youth, covering a range of topics we feel passionate about. Students learn how to plan, research and present shows in a real studio as well as running the sound-board themselves. This year the group is led by Jasmine in Year 13, who is a tech guru.

How do I tune in to the shows?

You can hear our shows Tuesdays 4-5pm every week, Wednesdays 4-5pm every week and Saturdays 6-7pm fortnightly on 106.1FM.
The shows also streamed live on Access Radio at these times.
Recent shows are available along with ones from other schools on the Youth Zone page at Access Radio.
