Dear Parents and Guardians of the Class of 2027,

As your students prepare to enter their final year of high school, we recognize that the college application process can feel both exciting and overwhelming. To support our rising seniors in navigating this journey with confidence, in addition to our upcoming Junior Parent Night on March 4th and our new College Admissions Guidebook, I am pleased to announce two intensive, virtual workshops designed to give students a head start on their future.

College Essay Workshop

Writing a standout personal statement is often the most time-consuming part of an application. This three-day intensive is spaced out over three weeks to allow students time to draft, reflect, and revise.

• August 5, August 12, and August 19

• Virtual

• Students will move from brainstorming to a polished draft under expert guidance, ensuring their unique voice reaches admissions officers.

Common Application Workshop

The Common App is the primary portal for hundreds of colleges. This workshop is designed for both parents and students to attend together to ensure the technical and logistical parts of the application are completed accurately.

• August 6, August 13, and August 20

• Virtual

• By completing the application basics before the school year begins, families can significantly reduce fall semester stress and avoid common clerical errors that can delay admissions.

To ensure every student receives the full benefit of this curriculum and to respect the limited seating available, students who sign up must commit to attending all three sessions of their chosen workshop.

Para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes de último año de preparatoria a navegar este proceso con confianza, además de nuestra próxima Noche para Padres de Estudiantes de Secundaria (INSERTAR FECHA) y nuestra nueva Guía de Admisión a la Universidad (insertar enlace), me complace anunciar dos talleres virtuales intensivos diseñados para que los estudiantes tengan una ventaja en su futuro.

Taller de Ensayo Universitario

Redactar una declaración personal sobresaliente suele ser la parte que más tiempo consume de una solicitud. Este taller intensivo de tres días se distribuye en tres semanas para que los estudiantes tengan tiempo de redactar, reflexionar y revisar.

• 5, 12 y 19 de agosto

• Virtual

• Los estudiantes pasarán de la lluvia de ideas a un borrador pulido bajo la guía de expertos, asegurando que su voz única llegue a los funcionarios de admisión.

Taller de Solicitud Común

La Solicitud Común es el portal principal para cientos de universidades. Este taller está diseñado para que tanto padres como estudiantes asistan juntos y así garantizar que los aspectos técnicos y logísticos de la solicitud se completen correctamente.

• Al completar los requisitos básicos de la solicitud antes del inicio del año escolar, las familias pueden reducir significativamente el estrés del semestre de otoño y evitar errores administrativos comunes que pueden retrasar las admisiones.
