Welcome to the Weehawken Township School District Preschool Program Information Page!
Beginning in September of 2026, we are proud to add a free preschool program to eligible 3-year-olds residing in Weehawken. This program will complement our existing and successful 4-year-old program.
We believe early childhood education is the foundation for future academic success, and we are committed to providing this resource to our community's families.
Preschool Is Important!
Preschool plays a crucial role in preparing children for kindergarten and beyond by fostering:
Developing early literacy and numeracy skills.
Learning to interact, share, and collaborate with peers.
Building confidence and a love for learning in a supportive environment.
By offering this program at no cost, we aim to ensure that every child in Weehawken has access to a strong educational start, regardless of socioeconomic background. We look forward to welcoming our youngest learners into the Weehawken family!
