ABOUT ME

PROFESSIONAL : This is my 2nd year as a teacher here at Weehawken High School and I am very happy to be here. I have been in the field of education for 20 years. My undergraduate degree was obtained from SUNY Albany in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. My major was Psychology and I had a double minor in Business and Education. In 1992, I graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Master of Science in Special Education. My experience includes working as a Special Education Teacher at Passaic County Technical Institute, Elizabeth School District, Clinton School District, and a multitude of substitute positions throughout Pennsylvania. In addition, I have extensive experience working with students one-on-one; both in school and through tutoring. Working with students from multicultural backgrounds has been a tremendous part of my career. In addition to my work in the field of education, I helped start up and run my husband's field inspection business. I have been involved with the training, supervising, and field work in his business.

FAMILY: I have been happily married to my husband Jeff for 34 years. We have 3 beautiful children: Robert - 31, Jaimie - 27, and Nathaniel - 26. My husband is the CEO of his Field Inspection Business. Robert and Nathaniel are in Finance and have their CFA's. Jaimie is working as a Nanny and at the same time is creating a portfolio for TV Screenwriting. My son, Robert got married on October 7th, 2018, My son, Nathaniel just got engaged on January 2, 2020.

PETS: I am a mommy to three wonderful rescues. Tweety is the smaller dog with white face and she is 11. Dusty the big guy in the front and he is 9. Peaches is the medium sized dog with the black face and she is 7. This is my canine family and the loves of my life. They make my bad days good and my good days better. As a true animal lover; I am also the proud grandma of 4 gorgeous dogs and 3 precious cats.
