NoRedInk
NoRedInk is a new addition to the 6th Grade curriculum this year. It's an ELA subscription program that focuses on grammar and writing.
Sometimes, students will have homework on NoRedInk. Students will also have classwork that they can finished. Any assignment will pop up on the main menu.
Students can also browse NoRedInk on their own by clicking on 'Mastering Topics.' This is a great option for supplemental work.
About The Teacher
Michcella Tiscornia
Welcome to Writer's Workshop!
Hello! My name is Michcella Tiscornia, and I am the 6th Grade Language Arts teacher! I am thrilled at this opportunity to teach children the joys of writing.
I received my dual BA from Seton Hall University in Early Elementary Education/Special Education and English in 2012. In May 2019, I graduated with my Master's Degree from New Jersey City University in Urban Education.
By chance, I started my career at Roosevelt School by substituting. After a few months, I was offered a maternity leave position at TRS, and finally, a full-time teaching opportunity. Nine years later, I am still here! I began my TRS career as a 3rd Grade teacher, and was officially moved to 6th Grade for the 2019-2020 school year. This will be my fifth year teaching 6th Grade Language Arts, and my 11th year teaching overall.
It’s an honor and a privilege to teach your child. I come from a long line of teachers – my mother and father included – so I understand the importance of a solid education. I believe all children have a right to be taught. I believe all children should learn and have fun, too. In the classroom, I love to try new things and challenge myself to make learning a unique experience.
I am always open to your thoughts and concerns, so please do not hesitate to e-mail me at mtiscorn@weehawkenschools.net. The best way to reach me is via email - I will respond as soon as possible! You may also call the school’s office at 201-422-6140 and leave a note with Mrs. Annese.
