Music has always been my greatest passion!  For over 25 years, I have enjoyed playing guitar and singing in a variety of settings with many accomplished vocalists and musicians of all ages.  After graduating Teacher's College at the University of Windsor, I spent the first 7 years of  my career as a homeroom teacher with students in  grades 3-6, covering all subject areas.  In addition to focusing on my homeroom class, I often spent my lunch hour working with choir and guitar students.  During one of our school choir practices, our school's new music teacher sat in to observe and immediately commented on my abilities and the musical connection I was fostering with the kids.  She strongly encouraged me to consider becoming a music teacher myself.  Well... "the rest is history" as they say and after upgrading my music qualifications, I now proudly teach JK-8 elementary music to approximately 700 students from across the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board.

In addition to running my elementary music program between multiple schools, I often sing and play guitar with my choir students for our monthly school masses, liturgies and assemblies.  I've also had the amazing opportunity to work with our concert band students on a variety of wind, brass, percussion and string instruments.  Together, we've had the shared experience of performing  in various school concerts,  outdoor festivals, the WFCU Centre, at Canada's Wonderland and performing on the Capitol Theatre Stage.  During my free time on the weekends,  I also enjoy playing electric guitar and singing in "Big Louie & The Band", as well as performing acoustically with my wife Janet.

It's an absolute honour for me to be your child's music teacher this year.  Thank you for your support and I look forward to a wonderful year together!
