History

Assumption High School is located in Windsor, Ontario and shares the border with Detroit, Michigan. The school was founded by the Basilian Fathers in 1870 and is one of the oldest in Ontario. The area has a rich musical history with many top musical acts performing in the Windsor/ Detroit area.

The music program at Assumption also has a long history involving many students.   The school has a variety of musical groups such as the junior concert band, senior concert band, jazz band, choir, composers club, and percussion ensemble.  The music courses are full with eager students wanting to improve their gifts and talents.  The music program is consistently the most popular extra-curricular activity at Assumption!
