Spotlight Events are high-level  invite-only gatherings hosted by Web Summit in collaboration with specific regions. “Web Summit Spotlight: Uzbekistan” is the first such event in Central Asia, designed to showcase Uzbekistan’s dynamic startup and innovation ecosystem.

According to the “Global Startup Ecosystem Index” by StartupBlink, in 2025 Uzbekistan was recognized as the fastest-growing ecosystem in Central Asia and ranked #2 in the world by growth rate. Additionally, the “Global Startup Ecosystem Report” by Startup Genome highlights that the valuation of Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem has surpassed $1.2 billion, marking remarkable growth compared to 2021, when it stood at just $1 million.

As of the end of August 2025, Uzbek startups have raised over $268 million in investments — a 4-fold increase.
