To get started on the app, you’ll first need to 1) complete your profile and 2) select your topics of interest. Once that’s done, you’re ready to explore and connect with fellow attendees.
You can review your profile here. When registering, be sure to include basic personal information on your profile, such as:
Your job title
Your company
Your city/town and country
You should also upload a headshot. If your headshot or profile information needs to be updated at any point, you can do this yourself directly via the app. Please note: All text and image inputs are subject to change in line with Web Summit's internal style guide.
You can also add contact information – such as your email address and social media links – so that anyone you meet at Web Summit can keep in touch when the event ends.
We ask you to select the topics you’re most interested in hearing about, and the areas of expertise you can share knowledge on with your fellow attendees. This will help us connect you with the right attendees and suggest talks at the event that we think might interest you.
Let's face it – in our increasingly virtual world, high-quality headshots matter. Make sure to put your best face forward by following our profile headshot guidelines. All speaker headshots should meet the below requirements:
Be taken straight-on, not from the side
Include head and shoulders
Be cropped as a square (please avoid circular/porthole formats)
Be 1,000 x 1,000 pixels minimum
Preferably in colour, rather than monochrome/black and white
