Why is this important to me?
I chose this topic because of a show my dad and I watch together called Clarkson’s Farm. My dad is a farmer, and while we were watching, one episode talked about how difficult and expensive it is for new and small farms to survive. That led to a real conversation between us about the challenges farmers face today, especially with rising costs and limited support.
This made the issue feel personal to me. It also made me realize that many people don’t fully understand how the food industry works or where their food actually comes from. Most people just see food in stores, but they don’t think about the farmers behind it or the struggles they go through to produce it. That’s why I think this issue is important—not just for farmers, but for everyone.
