In math intervention and small group math class we work to identify critical math skills and concepts that need to be pre-taught, reviewed and practiced. We work to meet student need in a small group setting.
Math intervention classes are an RTI service and were created in response to individual student needs identified using multiple measures of performance. In math intervention class a learning environment is created where students are able to develop necessary skills through ongoing progress monitoring. Student’s needs are met through incremental differentiated instruction provided in a small group setting. Our goal is to strengthen individual student skills to help them become an independent learner and to promote lifelong learning.
