The following required materials can be purchased at any music store. Just show the list to an employee and they can get you what you need.
Violin and Viola
3 Ring Binder: ½ or 1 inch, hardcover that can stay open on a music stand, no specific color necessary
Music Stand
Shoulder Rest or Sponge
Soft Cloth for Cleaning Instrument (you could use an old t-shirt or sock)
Rosin (usually included with instrument rental)
Luggage tag to label the instrument case

Cello
*the type of chair the students sit on when practicing makes a big difference. They should use a wooden or plastic armless chair or stool where they can sit with their back straight on their feet flat on the ground.
