Elementary Curriculum
-Responsive Classroom 4K-4 : This is used for our school-wide classroom management system as well as building in character development into daily structures.
-CKLA Amplify 4K-5 : This is our ELA curriculum and is in it's second year of implementation. We conducted a review of our system and saw a need in this area. We have since added in training for staff on the Science of Reading which this system is based off of. It helps us develop readers the way their brains actually learn to read! All teachers are fully trained in all Act 20 required phonics and foundational reading isntructional practices in the Webster Elementary building. Sonday Phonics K-4 : This is our school-wide phonics program that we use to begin learning phonemes, phonemic awareness, orthographic mapping, morphology, and other chaining strategies to help students learn the reading code.
Character Strong - Connections Units 4K-4 : This is our current unit structure for our Connections classes that are run weekly with each class by our school counselor. They focus on our character development and include things like conflict resolution, problem solving, friendships, bullying prevention, and responsibility for self.
Math Expressions K-5 : This is our mathematics curriculum that we use school-wide. It builds on skills from year to year and has a nice progression of mastery throughout the time. Our students also see this same lesson structure through transitioning to the middle school.
Mystery Science K-4 : This curriculum is hands on and engaging. Students enjoy the group aspect of these lessons and we encourage thinking deeply during the investigations the students do in these science lessons!
Studies Weekly 2-4 : Working on my community, my world, geography, and other US history topics, we are in our second year of using Studies Weekly to add depth to our social studies knowledge. Grade 2 Example Grade 3 Example Grade 4 Example
Wisconsin History Gr 4 : This targets the WI History standards that are required at 4th grade and helps students learn about specific rivers, geographical places, history of land, and other things unique to Wisconsin.
