The Bulk Grading feature streamlines the grading process, making it easier to grade multiple assignments at once and return them efficiently. This is especially beneficial for teachers who award credit based on completion rather than detailed feedback.
To grade assignments for all students at once, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Gradebook
Go to the Grades section of your platform.
Select "Grade All" for a Specific Assignment
From the menu options of a particular assignment, choose Grade All.
Input a Uniform Grade
Here, you can assign a single grade for all students out of 100. This grade will be applied as a draft, which students won’t see until it’s finalized.
Enable the option to set a default percentage for missing assignments. This will automatically apply a draft grade for students who either haven’t submitted the work or have marked it as incomplete. These grades are kept private until you decide to return them.
Always double-check that students have genuinely completed their assignments before applying a grade. It’s important to ensure that the work submitted meets the necessary standards, not just to verify the submission.
If you anticipate giving the same grade to most or all of your students, this feature can save a lot of time. Afterward, you can tweak the grades for any students who may need adjustments.
Override Existing Grades
You can replace any prior grades with the new bulk grades if needed.
Automatic Grade Return
After grading, you can choose to have the grades automatically returned to students, saving you the extra step of doing it manually.
This feature is particularly useful for teachers who assign frequent classwork or practice tasks, helping to make grading quicker and more efficient.
