Choreography challenged me to think about movement in a more intentional and structured way. I learned how to design choreography that responds to space, timing, and the unique strengths of each dancer, strengthening my creative problem-solving and leadership skills. Working with performers of different backgrounds required clear communication, effective collaboration, and networking, as I connected with peers and mentors to exchange ideas and gain feedback. I plan to use these networking skills in the future by maintaining these professional relationships, seeking collaboration opportunities, and drawing on the insights of others to enhance my creative and leadership work. Overall, this experience deepened my understanding of how thoughtful design choices can transform movement into meaningful performance and reinforced my ability to guide, mentor, and connect with others in a team setting.
