Hello! My name is Scott and I grew up beside the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, in Northern Ireland.
This is my second year teaching at Dara Academy and I am excited to be given the opportunity to teach Upper Mathayom EE6.
I graduated from Ulster University with a bachelor of arts degree in media studies w/ film studies. The course allowed me to build on my passion for creative writing and the arts, covering modules such as reporting international conflict, screenwriting and more.
My previous teaching experience spans from the USA to Thailand. I have taught electronic music production in upstate New York, USA, taught at sports camps across Northern Ireland, and most recently taught a summer programme at Lanna International School here in Chiang Mai.
Outside of teaching I am a keen music producer, with my own productions signed to various music labels. I have also extensive experience working within the events and entertainment industry in Europe, a 5 year stint as a journalist covering Film, TV, Mixed Martial Arts and Pop Culture and most recently as a content director and freelance writer for various companies and agencies.
In my free time I enjoy playing football here in Chiang Mai in various leagues, watching Chiang Mai FC games and exploring the beauty of Northern Thailand. I am a passionate traveller and love to embrace new foods, cultures and experiences.
I’m looking forward to this new journey at Dara Academy, and can’t wait to meet all of your wonderful students.
