Hello! My Name is Tony Maake and this will be my second year teaching in Thailand but first year to be teaching at this amazing institution which is Dara Academy. I will be teaching Lower Mathayom 3 this year.

I am from South Africa and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Science which is Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at University of Stellenbosch. Then I pursued my career as Microbiologist after completion of my studies then a Teacher.

During my studies I volunteered at a governmental organization in South Africa to build, support,develop schools, and improve the social and academic life of the learners for about 5 years.

With All the experience and passion I have, my goal is to create a very aspiring and inclusive environment for my students to improve their social skills. Improve their academic life while having fun and allowing my students to make mistakes and build their confidence.

Outside the classroom, I am a photographer, filmmaker. I love traveling, playing any kind of active sports , reading books, go-kart racing and exploring different cultures around the world.

I look forward to meeting all my students.
