Greetings,

My name is Antonio McManis. I am originally from the United States. I studied Political Science with a concentration in political transitions and pedagogy at Western Kentucky University. Previously, I spent four years as an assistant manager at a small retail chain in the consumer goods industry.

This is my second-year teaching, and I am excited to begin a new year at Dara Academy. My primary objective is to facilitate my students learning and ensure all students are given an equal opportunity to success. The classroom should foster an environment which is encouraging and safe so that every student feels comfortable and happy participating and learning. My classroom invites mistakes as this is an integral part of the learning process. The primary focus is to motivate and see improvement.

In my spare time I enjoy fishing, hiking, and reading. I am also enrolled in Thai language courses and hope to gain a better grasp at the language to further facilitate my knowledge about this beautiful country that I’ve been given the opportunity to teach in.
